"David transformed my oak kitchen worktops. I thought they were past their best but I now have a kitchen that looks new again! An amazing job, great care taken, no mess whatsoever and really lovely to deal with. I'd highly recommend David."

"Thanks so much to David for the work he did on our internal doors. We had them sprayed years ago and were never happy with the colour but assumed we were stuck with them. David came to visit and showed us what was possible on one of the doors as a test. The difference was fantastic! He then collected the doors, stripped them back to the natural wood and re-stained them, really bringing out the natural oak colour. Nothing was too much trouble, the work he did involved covering all walls and floors for protection. Can't recommend highly enough and we'll certainly be using him again in the future. Thank you!" * I would highly recommend...David Scott. He does an excellent job with French polishing/restoring furniture and gives excellent customer service. Recently David stripped and French Polished (8) old dining chairs, a drop leaf dining table all old style priory furniture bringing them back to their natural lighter oak colour and French polishing them. Along with stripping and refinishing an old bureau and top display case and simply refreshing a Grandfather clock body and face enclosure. All of this was done within a 10 day window and all are extremely well done and wonderfully new again. I cannot recommend this company enough, one highly satisfied customer.

** The internal woodwork of our 18th century manor house now has a delightful amber sheen thanks to the work of French-polisher David Scott. He removed clear varnish and dark wood-stain that had been applied to our hallway's wall panelling, skirting boards, stair/dado rails and door surrounds. David did this work so well (and quickly) that we asked him to strip away layers of white gloss paint on our landing’s windowsill, skirting boards, dado rails and door surrounds.
Again, the results were impressive. As he had done before, David stripped the wood, then sanded it between coats of French polish. The ten wooden doors in the two areas were dipped and stripped to remove white gloss paint, whereupon David gave them the same finish as our other woodwork.
